2024 Happy New Year and Duck Hunting!

2024 will be a great year for cruisers!  New ships have either been introduced already or will be in 2024...such as Carnival's Jubilee, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Celebration, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas, and Norwegian debuting the NCL Aqua in 2025.

With bigger and bigger ships being introduced with activities such as the Bolt roller coaster on some Carnival ships, larger waterslides and water parks, rope courses and more, we can expect larger crowds on the ships.  Some cruisers feel that larger is better, others prefer the small ships with more intimate surroundings.  Thankfully, we have a choice of either.  I haven't decided which I like better, bigger or smaller, I just like any ship I am on at the time!

So, us here at Premier Cruise Gear have been busy this past year.  We have been introducing new designs on some of our favorite items.  Our latest newest design recognizes the popular activity on ships....Duck hiding and Duck hunting!  I love hiding ducks on our cruises and delight in the joy on the faces of the younger kids when they find one.

I was a little sad on our last cruise though, I had one duck left to hide.  As we headed down to a specialty restaurant for dinner, I hid the duck in the walkway to the restaurant.  There was a family of 4 coming in behind us, Mom, Dad and 2 little boys.  The boys were probably 5 and 7 years old.  Well, the older boy found the duck and naturally the younger one also wanted one.  I told my husband that I wished I had another one so I could give it to the little boy.  As the little boy cried, my heart broke, fortunately the older boy assured the younger one that they would share it and keep hunting around the ship for another one.  I never saw them again but I really hope they found a second one.

So now, I always carry a couple of extra ducks in my bag just in case.
